The World of Physical Therapy: Class of 2013 Edition

A lot can change in a year. In May 2012, sequestration seemed so far away … and unlikely. Wills and Kate were still keeping the world guessing about a future heir. And hardly anybody knew about the Aflac duck’s physical therapy program.

2013 is shaping up to be an interesting year so far. There are major healthcare reforms happening now, with more just around the corner. Christina and Cee Lo will be back on The Voice in the fall. And for those graduates starting their physical therapy careers in 2013, the loan debt is high, but the future is bright.  

For starters, the physical therapy industry has a 0.2% unemployment rate, and U.S. News and World Report has deemed Physical Therapists to have the 5th best profession in healthcare, and Physical Therapist Assistants, the number 9 spot.
